The PCC and members of St Andrew, Buckland Monachorum and Holy Spirit, Milton Combe recognise that they have a responsibility to support, protect and safeguard all, especially children, young people and vulnerable adults.  We are fully committed to providing a safer culture by acting within current legislation, national frameworks and the Diocesan Safeguarding procedures.  We will also, when necessary, work in partnership with the Diocesan Safeguarding Adviser, Social care, Police and other agencies to safeguard children and vulnerable adults.  Staff and volunteers within the Church are recruited in accordance with the Diocesan Safer Recruitment Guidance 2016.  The Church is committed to ensuring they are suitable for the role, are fully DBS checked, where appropriate, and fully supported through training.
