Crisis in Ukraine

What can I do to help?

See links below for ways we can pray, how to explain to our children, and where we can donate.

"In you, Lord, I have taken refuge;

let me never be put to shame;

deliver me in your righteousness.

Turn your ear to me, come quickly to my rescue;

Be my rock and refuge, a strong fortress to save me."

Psalm 31:1-2

"Our children are watching war happening in cities that look just like ours, in a country they can find on a map of our own continent. As always, their questions and concerns are an opportunity to grow their faith.

Let’s be willing to talk to our children about war, at a level they can understand."

See this link from Faith in Kids, on how to discuss the war with  them i an age-appropriate way that points to Christ.

"USPG and the Church of England Diocese in Europe are launching an emergency appeal to get aid to people in desperate need because of the invasion of Ukraine.

Funds raised by the appeal will support Christian charities and churches carrying out humanitarian work both in Ukraine and responding to the arrival of refugees in neighbouring countries.

Our partners on the ground are providing food, medicine, shelter, care for children and people internally displaced in Ukraine. With refugees they are supplying care at the border and beyond, including attention to those from Africa and Asia as well as Ukrainians who are fleeing the war."
